落日放船好，
輕風生浪遲。
竹深留客處，
荷淨納涼時。
公子調冰水，
佳人雪藕絲。
片雲頭上黑，
應是雨催詩。

It is pleasant to board the barge as the sun sinks low And the light
breeze slowly beats up the ripples; Now we pass between thick bam-
boo groves; Now we reach the fresh coolness of the water lilies.

While the young gentlemen mix the icy drinks, And the pretty girls
are slicing the delicious lotus roots, I see a patch of clouds darkening
over us; This means rain to hasten my poetry.
